Sorosoro Ibaba Development Cooperative (SIDC)

Sorosoro Ibaba Development Cooperative (SIDC) is first established as Sorosoro Ibaba Farmers' Association in March 19, 1969, thru Mr. Victoriano E. Barte. The association was funded initially by 59 members and as of May 2024, the cooperative has 49,033 regular members and 22,912 associate members.

SIDC grows to a Coorporative providing with a sustainable Lifecycle in Agriculture, Financial Services, Retail and Wholesale as well in Ecotourism -all with participation on their Members.

The Sorosoro Ibaba Development Cooperative (SIDC) has once again proven its leadership in the agricultural and cooperative sectors by receiving two distinguished awards at the Livestock Philippines 2024 Recognition. The event, held on May 22, 2024, at the World Trade Center in Pasay City, was graced by the presence of key figures from the Department of Agriculture and Informa Markets.

SIDC was awarded the โ€œOutstanding Swine Farmโ€ and โ€œOutstanding Layer Farmโ€ titles, further solidifying its reputation for excellence in sustainable farming and community development. These awards were presented by Honorable Undersecretary Deogracias Victor Savellano of the Department of Agriculture and Ms. Rungphech Chitanuwat, the Country General Manager of Informa Markets in the Philippines.

Dr. Angelito B. Bagui, Chairperson of the Board, and Mr. Rico B. Geron, CEO and Former Congressman, proudly accepted the awards on behalf of SIDC. Their visionary leadership and commitment to innovation have been instrumental in the cooperativeโ€™s success and these accolades serve as a recognition of their tireless efforts.

The Livestock Philippines 2024 Recognition is part of a larger expo running from May 22-24, which showcases the latest trends and opportunities in the livestock industry. SIDCโ€™s achievements at this prestigious event underscore its role as a frontrunner in the field and its potential to shape the future of agriculture in the Philippines.

The way of Cooperative of sharing its profits among member-owners based on their purchases, which circulates money back into our community, helping to build a stronger local economy.

SCHOLARSHIP GRANT

Given to a child of a regular member with a good record or active member who has purchased at least 20,000.00 last year and has a good community record. The course need is related to the business of the cooperative

FREE MEDICAL CHECK-UP

Benefits given to the legitimate member of SIDC at given specific schedule.

TECHNICAL & MARKETING ASSISTANCE

This is part of Cooperative's support to its member as added value to their purchased and availed SIDC products and services.

An educational financial assistance program of SIDC designed for the members with good scholastic and community record, to have an access on tertiary level.

Loan recipient shall begin paying their loans after completion of the course for which the loan expended.
